PITT MUTUAL AID
Tackling COVID-19 at Pitt
WHAT WE DO
The Pitt Mutual Aid team has been committed to providing mutual aid, resources, and community to students and community members of Pittsburgh in response to institutional responses disrupting and displacing individuals.
We assume best intentions in our efforts to assist each other.
We aim to build community, not for personal gain or with the expectation of a transactional support.
We will not participate in and will actively deconstruct systems of oppression in our work.
We encourage honesty and vulnerability in sharing our needs and will not shame or judge anyone during our work.
We will practice empathy with our neighbors rather than sympathy.
